Professionally Evolving with an Evolving Global Marketplace with Dr. Ntasha Bhardwaj
Dr. Ntasha Bhardwaj graduated from her doctoral program and started a long and winding journey around the globe. She went from university teaching assistant to using her content expertise at a global non-profit organization. Then, she transitioned to using her research expertise to help build safety initiatives across countries with UN Women. Regardless of which country she’s working in, Dr. Bhardwaj is an expert in translating her expertise to reflect evolving global research trends. UN Women Technical Consultant to the Government of Goa, Ending Violence Against Women
Ntasha Bhardwaj, Ph.D., is a criminologist and gender specialist with over 12 years of experience. Her work is at the intersections of gender, crime, and justice. She has conducted research and shaped policies on gender in various countries, including Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and the United States of America. Ntasha’s training and experience have enabled her to connect the worlds of research and practice, arriving at context-specific, evidence- based solutions for different issues. Her contributions to the field are published in Feminist Criminology, the Journal of Research on Crime and Delinquency, and the European Journal of Criminology. Over the past year, she has worked as a UN Women Technical Consultant to the Ministry of Women and Child Development, applying a gender lens to India’s G20 Presidency. Currently, as a UN Women Technical Consultant to the Government of Goa, she is building the state’s strategy on creating enabling ecosystems for safety.
