Mentoring for Success with DCS 2022-2023

The Mentoring for Success with DCS program is returning for the 2022-2023 year!

There are four tracks within our 1-on-1 mentorship program:

Academia:
1. Student mentoring track
2. Tenure-track faculty mentoring track

Alternatives to Academia:

1. Student mentoring track
2. Early career mentoring track

Connections will made based on individual goals and interests. Participants can expect to receive/provide

  •  Research support
  •  Teaching support
  •  Progress-specific guidance
  •  Service support
  •  Networking guidance
  •  And, more!

The program’s official timeline is from September 2022-September 2023, although we encourage matches to stay in touch after that time!

Mentors/Mentees are expected to meet virtually at least once per month. We are asking all mentors participating in this program for a minimum $20 annual donation to the Benjamin Steiner fund to help promote continued student awards and scholarships.

If you are interested in becoming a Mentoring for Success mentor or mentee, please sign up using this link by August 31, 2022, or by selecting the word “Here!” at the bottom of the attached flyer. Once recruitment closes, the DCS Student Affairs Committee will be in touch about your e-introductions

Returning participants: If you wish to continue with the same mentee/mentor, please e-mail Jill Viglione (jill.viglione@ucf.edu) instead of completing the survey.
